Jackie

Jackie and her fiancé Nestor, built their 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on a 350sqm lot at Fitzgibbon Chase. They have been living in Fitzgibbon Chase since August 2013.

"We originally came across Fitzgibbon Chase when we were looking for a new house for my Mum and Dad in 2013. They fell in love with the area because of how affordable and close it is to the amenities they value such as the shopping centre, the medical centre, and the RSLs.

"I'm very close with my parents, and during our frequent trips to Fitzgibbon to visit them, we could really see the benefits of living there too. We spent a lot of time outdoors together in the parks and walking around the area, and we always felt safe.

"We cast our net very wide as we looked for a place to buy – we were prepared to go to the south side of Brisbane, or even as far north as Northlakes.

"Another attraction of Fitzgibbon was the proximity to the airport – my fiancé is a cabin manager in the airline industry, and he often has very little notice to get to the airport. From Fitzgibbon Chase he has a very quick run.

"Traditionally, to purchase a competitively priced house and land package you would have to look in areas much further from the CBD, but we but we haven't had to make that sacrifice buying at Fitzgibbon Chase.

"Even after living here for more than six months, we're still surprised at how quiet it is. All of our neighbours are friendly, and everyone gets along.

"We've noticed that there isn't a ‘typical' resident or buyer in Fitzgibbon Chase – our neighbours all have very different jobs, and vary in age, family status and cultural background. It's very diverse which makes it a great community to live in.

"My sister has just moved in around the corner – with our family in three different homes within Fitzgibbon Chase, we're always joking about how we're taking over the area!"
