In January 2015, Jessica, 26, signed a contract to build a new 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on 364 m2 in Fitzgibbon Chase.
"My Mum has been living at Fitzgibbon since 2012 and she has really enjoyed living there.
"Because Mum already lived at Fitzgibbon – I helped her pick her home - I knew quite a lot about the area and it was front of mind when I started looking for a home to buy.
"I grew up on Brisbane's Northside, but I moved to Tasmania to study Medicine at the University of Tasmania several years ago. I finished studying last year, qualified as a doctor, and started working at an inner city hospital in Brisbane at the beginning of this year.
"Because of the nature of my work, I need to be reasonably close to the city – Fitzgibbon Chase was so much closer than any of the other newer communities where I could build my own house.
"Whenever I have come to visit Mum in the past, I've always noticed the great atmosphere the neighbourhood has – how quiet it is, and how safe it feels.
"The community is very well planned – because it is masterplanned it has great little pockets of green space, there is a real flow to the streets and the new houses are well designed to suit the surrounding areas.
"It is so close to shopping centres at Chermside and Taigum, and the public transport links to buses and trains are really handy and close."
