Local apprentices on the job at Fitzgibbon
Bayside Star 18 Nov 2009

FIVE apprentices from East Coast Apprenticeships are currently constructing an information centre for use by the Urban Land Development Authority at Fitzgibbon Chase.
The prefabrication of components is currently underway at Brendale and the building will be constructed and launched at Fitzgibbon on January 22-23, 2010.
Minister for Employment Participation Mark Arbib visited the apprentices with member for Petrie Yvette D'Ath on November 5, as part of the federal government's Apprentice Kickstart program.
The 'Fitz Blitz' apprenticeship program requires the group to build the information centre in a single day at Fitzgibbon Chase, a residential project on 114-hectares of state government land near Carselgrove Avenue.
Civil works on Stages 1-2 of Fitzgibbon Chase will be finished by the end of November and Stages 3-4 will be launched in conjunction with 'Fitz Blitz' on January 23.
